Desmond Fahey, chief executive of the Dublin Business Innovation Centre, has been elected chairman of the Irish Venture Capital Association (IVCA). He replaces Shay Garvey, partner in Delta Partners, who has completed his term of office. Fahey is also a member of the board of the European Venture Capital Association. The IVCA, which was established in 1985, represents members who professionally manage more than 95pc of the €1.25bn managed by VC funds in Ireland.
