Digital Marketing Institute begins professional diploma series

For those new to the world of social media, online marketing, Search Engine Optimisation and the like there is a new series of diploma courses starting from next week with the Digital Marketing Institute.

Lecturers on these courses include Anthony Quigley of the Digital Marketing Institute, Gareth Dunlop from Ion Online Marketing, and Alan O’Rourke, entrepreneur and CEO of Spoiltchild Design.

The courses are for a professional diploma in digital marketing, of which is a component is FETAC approved, and there is the option of one week full-time and 12 weeks part-time with evening classes.

The full-time course takes place each day between 9:30am and 5.pm at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Dublin and runs from 16 August at a cost of €1,495. The 12 week course kicks off on 26 August.

This is a type of five day boot camp where all the essentials of digital marketing including SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), pay per click marketing, website architecture, podcasting, blogging, social networking and email marketing are covered as well as the most popular social media services of Facebook and Twitter.

The Digital Marketing Institute says that the course is designed for those responsible for developing or implementing their organisation’s online strategy, and so includes senior management, marketing managers, communication specialists, webmasters and IT managers.

This professional diploma in digital marketing follows on from the recent introduction of the postgraduate diploma for those with a degree in a related area.
