Eircom today announced the appointment of Peter Cross, currently with BT, as their new chief financial officer (CFO).
Cross, who is currently working as director of strategic planning with the BT Group, will also be co-opted to the Eircom board.
He also holds the position of trustee of the BT Pension Scheme, which is the UK’s largest defined benefit scheme.
Prior to appointing Cross, Eircom had no official CFO, with Peter Tarrant serving as acting CFO since November of last year when Peter Lynch resigned.
Tarrant originally was set to leave Eircom last year but was asked to stay on and assume his most recent role until two months ago when he announced he was finally leaving on 1 June.
