Ten-year-old mobile technology solutions provider Heavey RF has grown its staff numbers to 25 in Ireland and the UK, thanks to it winning more than €1.5m in new business in the first quarter of 2011.
The Irish-owned company supplies mobile technology solutions to the logistics, manufacturing, field service, courier and retail sectors, and has secured contracts with Ardagh Glass plc, DHL, Gleeson Group, Hertz, Superquinn and its first voice-directed logistics system for a government distribution centre in Ireland.
Heavey RF opened an office in the UK last year. Managing director Ronan Clinton said: “We made a conscious decision to focus on developing a long-term partnership approach with our customers, providing not only industry appropriate fit-for-purpose solutions, but real 24/7 support provided by highly trained and certified individuals who are all locally based and readily available when needed.”
According to Clinton, Heavey RF’s continued growth reflects its investment in its training and research and development programmes with suppliers, ensuring that best practices are not only adhered to, but evolve organically into real-world solutions.
Heavey RF’s mobile technology integration platform Vocalpoint 2.0 allows companies to quickly and cost-effectively upgrade their warehouse management systems (WMS) to incorporate voice-directed logistics. This shortens implementation timelines and provides a high level of transparency within the entire supply chain.
