Julian Ogrin has been appointed chief commercial officer at Meteor Mobile Communications, with responsibility for Meteor’s marketing, sales and customer care divisions. Ogrin spent six years with the Cable & Wireless Group domestically in Australia when he was promoted to the executive team in London to drive the global development of C&W global mobile businesses. This included Optus Communications, Australia; Bouygues Telecom, France; One2One, UK; M1, Singapore; C&W, Panama and Hong Kong Telecom. More recently, Ogrin held the role of general manager, consumer and retail division at Vodafone Australia and was an executive director of Allphones Retail Group. Allphones is the largest specialty mobile communications retailer in Australia with 165 retail stores nationwide.
