A Dublin-based travel agency set up earlier this year, Supersun, has been awarded the fulfillment licence for the travel website LateDeals.ie, which is expected to create a number of new jobs.
Supersun operates exclusively online, passing the overhead savings made by abstaining from high street trade on to the consumer. It processes all enquiries via its call centre, with travel agents providing booking and information services over the phone.
Launched in 2006, LateDeals.ie now receives more than 1m page impressions a month, and has shown steady growth in sales for past number of years, according to the company.
“We are delighted with this opportunity to work with LateDeals.ie given its leading position within the online travel industry. Recent market research has indicated that consumers are increasingly leaving it to the last minute to book their holidays, a trend which compliments the LateDeals.ie product,” said director of Supersun, Juan Cullen.
In line with the new developments, Supersun will be launching further websites and new brands of its own to target niche travel sectors. “Customers are increasingly seeking out bespoke holidays, with the traditional package deal no longer being the only option. We will be catering for the growing demand for cruises, tailor-made, long-haul and niche family holidays,” said Cullen.
