IT and application performance management company Data Edge has appointed Paul Aherne technical product manager. His principal role will be to help customers to optimise the performance of their IT systems and applications, while also providing technical support and user workshops. Aherne has a wealth of expertise in most areas of business IT and joins from Dell Computers, where he spent four years as senior storage analyst and technical account manager. Prior to this, he spent three years as OSS/network performance product specialist for Data Edge and was systems programmer and network analyst with Texaco Ireland for 25 years. He is currently undertaking a BSc Degree in Information Systems at Trinity College Dublin.
