Typetec recently announced the appointment of Paul Mahon as solutions architect. Mahon will lead the presales team, designing IT solutions to fit customers’ business requirements. He will specialise in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, end-to-end virtualisation and managed services. Mahon has extensive experience in both IT sales and systems engineering, giving him the wide range of technology exposure that makes him ideally suited to designing bespoke solutions for any client. He joins Typetec from Softech, where he was technical sales manager from 1999. Prior to that, he was a systems analyst with BBL Finance from 1997 to 1999. Mahon has also previously worked with Tomorrow’s World and IBM Ireland. With almost 15 years in the IT reseller side of the business, he has the experience to provide systems most suited to customer needs. Mahon holds a wide variety of industry qualifications, including Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA, Citrix CCA & CCSP, Neverfail NCIE and VMware VSP.
