5 biggest brands that are switching to renewables (infographic)

16 Jul 2015

Many of the world’s biggest companies are quickly realising that the damage they are causing to the environment through unsustainable production is considerable, but here are the five biggest brands making the switch to renewables.

For organisations like Greenpeace, it’s not enough for companies to simply say they are looking into cleaner production methods or where they source the vast amount of energy required to run a tech company.

Only last May, some of the world’s biggest tech companies were put under the spotlight by the environmental organisation for their practices as part of its report, Clicking Clean: A Guide to Building the Green Internet, with some companies shining greatly, while others were seriously criticised.

In Ireland, at least, it appears that companies including Apple and Facebook are well aware of the environmental responsibility of their data centres, having both agreed to see their future centres powered solely by clean energy.

Of course, it’s not just the major companies that can at least attempt to reduce their energy consumption and inefficiencies considerably, with advice on how all companies can do so offered in this helpful infographic.
