Let’s talk Solar, developer of a solar-powered dual central heating and hot water system, has revealed a €3.7m manufacturing deal with Copper Industries for the production of a cylinder for its Fusion Elite heating solution.

Let’s talk Solar technology derives energy from daylight, rather than direct sunshine. The company provides year-round access to central heating that costs 50pc to 92pc less than traditional heating solutions.

As part of the newly signed agreement, Co Antrim-based Copper Industries will manufacture the clean-tech company’s cylinders under licence for the next three years.

Michael Keane, director of Let’s talk Solar, said the company views the deal with Copper Industries as a strategic step in the ongoing development of its business.

“We intend to deploy full-time personnel on the ground in Northern Ireland within months,” Keane added.

Charlie Shivers, MD of Copper Industries, said that by combining Copper Industries’ expertise in engineering and shared commitment to environmentally sustainable manufacturing processes with Let’s talk Solar’s technology and rapidly growing distribution network, “we look forward to developing a productive and profitable future together”.
