BT brews up Starbucks Wi-Fi for Irish and UK customers

21 Apr 2009

A new deal with Starbucks brings BT Wi-Fi connectivity to the coffee house’s customers in any one of its 28 franchise locations around Ireland, as well as the 620 plus locations in the UK.

The service will begin installation from this week, but full rollout will not be completed until the end of 2009.

One useful addition to this service is that BT customers can benefit from this Wi-Fi in Starbucks locations across the US through BT’s Openzone roaming deal with AT&T.

Starbucks will also be using BT’s network to support its store operations systems, as well as its public Wi-Fi offering.
