GameStop to sell 3 mobile phones and broadband

Games retailer GameStop has begun selling mobile phone and mobile broadband packages from 3 Ireland in all 50 stores around Ireland.

Signing a deal with 3 Ireland, GameStop will now offer customers both 3Pay mobile broadband and 3Pay mobile handsets in addition to its current offering of games, DVDs, consoles, peripherals and gaming accessories.

Aside from offering 3 Ireland products and services for sale GameStop is also offering trade-in deals for consumers so they can being in their old mobile phones in order to save €20 off all 3 prepay phones including the Acton (€79 with trade-in), Nokia 2730 (€49 with trade-in), Nokia 5230 (€79 with trade-in) and INQ Mini (€29.99 with trade-in).

“We’re delighted to tie up with GameStop to bring our innovative 3Pay products to even more Irish consumers nationwide,” said Elaine Carey, sales and marketing director for 3.

“This is an exciting year for 3; the company recently celebrated a major milestone when we exceeded 500,000 customers,” added Carey.
