JUST Mobile confirms 1GB excessive usage policy for data

10 Mar 2011

JUST Mobile, the MVNO that sells phones and network coverage through Spar and Mace shops, introduced its new data services package today, which will be free for all JUST Mobile users until 30 April.

JUST Mobile, which resells network coverage via Vodafone, said today there would be no limit on the amount of data the customer can use.

However, a spokesperson this evening confirmed that the new “unlimited service” will be subject to an excessive usage policy of 1GB per month.

No pricing revealed yet

The company hasn’t revealed pricing for its data plans but said existing users will have free data coverage up until 30 April.

The company’s co-founder and managing director Donal Lawless said: “Data usage is becoming the norm for mobile users, even amongst the less technically minded of us, including me!

“We wanted to give something back to our customers by offering them free data until the end of April – an offer which has no precedent in the Irish mobile market,” Lawless added.
