LG introduces first Android device

14 Sep 2009

Shortly after announcing the introduction of three new Windows Mobile devices, handset manufacturer LG is bringing its first ever Android device to market – the LG-GW620.

The LG-GW620, said Dr Skott Ahn, president and CEO of LG, will be ideal for the first-time smart phone user.

It is consumer-friendly and comes with a slide-out QWERTY keypad, but this is only the first of a raft of Android devices that LG plans to release in the years ahead, added Ahn.

With a 3-inch full touchscreen and support for social networking right out of the box, the LG-GW620 will be released in select European markets in the fourth quarter of 2009.
