Meteor service restored, company says as it apologies to customers

7 Mar 2013

Meteor has apologised for a data service ‘disruption’ that left customers across Ireland unable to connect to its network for hours last night and into this morning. The issue has now been fixed, the mobile communications provider said.

Meteor customers had been struggling to text, connect to the internet or had been receiving spotting connections at best.

“We are aware of a disruption to our data services yesterday between 19.30pm-12am,” Meteor said in a statement.

“Techs have now fixed this issue and service is back up and running at full blast.

“Sorry about any inconvenience with this and if you are still experiencing disruption with your service get in touch with us on our Facebook/Twitter/Boards.ie pages and we can check it out for you.”

Any customers who may be still experiencing service problems can call Meteor’s customer care team at 1747 for Prepay or 1905 for Billpay customers. Customers also have the option of contacting Meteor’s Webchat Team.
