O2 launches ‘try before you buy’ broadband offer

As an initiative to encourage more mobile broadband subscribers, O2 Ireland has launched a ‘try before you buy’ offer for potential customers.

The ‘try before you buy’ campaign is running nationwide and anyone can try out O2’s mobile broadband service for a trial period of 72 hours by popping into an O2 store and borrowing a modem.

“O2 has one of the best mobile broadband services in the country and with this trial we’re letting customers see this for themselves,” said David Hodgers, head of products and services for O2 Ireland.

“We’re confident that once customers borrow the modem and try the service they’ll want to continue using O2 mobile broadband.”

One caveat, however, is that a deposit of €75 cash is required, which will be returned after the trial period is over.

O2 mobile broadband has over 100,000 customers to date, and data allowance ranges from 5GB to 10GB per month.
