Ryanair and Maxroam offer 1m free roaming minutes

Ryanair, in conjuction with Maxroam, is launching the first free mobile phone roaming service, releasing 1m free ‘received call’ roaming minutes to new and existing customers.

Using a Maxroam SIM card, passengers can send texts for 9c and make calls at a fixed rate of 29c per minute across 43 European countries. They can now avail of free ‘received call’ roaming minutes, too.

“Maxroam products dramatically reduce customers’ mobile roaming costs when travelling across Europe,” said Maxroam’s Kieran Sexton.

“Calls are 40pc cheaper than existing European rates and Ryanair passengers can buy a Maxroam SIM, which includes €20 call credit, for just €10 on www.ryanair.com.”

Maxroam’s SIM cards can be used worldwide with a standard GSM phone. iPad and iPhone SIM cards are also available.
