An image and specifications for Research in Motion’s new smartphone, the BlackBerry Dakota, have been dug up by Boy Genius Report.
The handset resembles the BlackBerry Bold, and reportedly sports the following:
- 2.8-inch multitouch screen with 640 x 480 pixel resolution
- full QWERTY keyboard
- 5-megapixel camera with HD video recording
- 768 MB of RAM
- 4GB of built-in storage
- UMTS, NFC Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support
- MicroUSB port
- a proximity sensor, accelerometer and a magnetometer
The BlackBerry Dakota is said to be 10.5mm in thickness and will run on BlackBerry OS 6.1.
RIM hasn’t confirmed the device and pricing and availability are unknown at this stage.
