Twitvid allows users to upload videos from iPhone to Twitter

Users of the iPhone 3G S can now add video to their tweets using a new service called TwitVid, which also provides video sharing for Facebook, MySpace and YouTube.

TwitVid is a California start-up that allows users to take videos from their mobile phones and webcams and upload them directly to Twitter with instant playback

“As a matter of fact, TwitVid.com is the only video app that lets your friends start watching your video, even before you’ve finished uploading it to TwitVid.com,” the company said in its blog.

“Mobile video has now become the best way to share your life experiences with your friends. Video can even shape current events and ultimately history, as the recent Iranian election videos have shown.”

On Monday, Apple’s Apps Store on iTunes made the new TwitVid.com app available for users of the iPhone 3G S.

“Twitter followers can begin watching those videos instantly – even before you’ve finished uploading the video.

“TwitVid is the only Twitter video service that allows instant playback – which we feel is key to the user experience,” the company wrote in its blog.
