Vodafone reveals pricing for 360 Samsung H1 handsets

2 Nov 2009

Pricing and availability of mobile network Vodafone’s forthcoming 360 Samsung H1 handset have been revealed. The device will be available from tomorrow for €99 with a €35 per month voice and data price plan.

The Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 will represent not only Vodafone’s big Christmas push but also its foray into mobile internet applications via the Vodafone Shop.

Tailor made for Vodafone, the smart phone is the first in a number of handsets which delivers Vodafone 360 – a brand new set of internet services for the mobile and PC which gathers all of a customer’s friends, social networks and online communities, entertainment and personal favourites (like music, games, photos and video) in one place.

Features

Boasting a 3.5-inch, high-definition OLED screen, 16GB memory, Wi-Fi, GPS, a maximum talk time of more than 400 minutes (3G) and a 5 megapixel camera, the Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 provides a great Vodafone 360  experience.

The phone provides a unique 3D display that brings your most frequently contacted friends and family to the front of your phone when you turn it on.

Vodafone 360 automatically syncs all contacts from your phone, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger and Google Talk, and will soon also include Twitter – bringing your online social networks to your phone.  Vodafone 360 also automatically backs up all phone content to the internet, meaning you never lose another contact, picture or video ever again.

The Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 will cost €99.99 on 18-month contracts of €35 and above, with an unlimited data package included, available online

Share and share alike

One of the unique features of the devices is the ability for customers and friends to share locations, tag and share pictures and favourite places.

Aside from the Samsung H1, Vodafone customers will be able to access the 360 service through a variety of handsets and operating systems from multiple manufacturers.

A catalogue of more than 1,000 thousand apps will be available at launch, available to different handsets, downloadable through the Vodafone Shop.

To develop the apps marketplace, Vodafone last month launched a global competition, with up to €1 million in prizes to find the perfect app.
