SolarWinds, one of Ireland’s largest IT management software companies, expects to create up to 100 new jobs over the next two years at its office in Cork.
The news comes after an investment supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, through IDA Ireland.
While the titles of the jobs that are being created have not been announced yet, the operations of SolarWinds’ Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) headquarters in Cork include multilingual sales and technical support, international finance (outside of North America), HR, marketing and customer service.
SolarWinds, which is based in Austin, Texas, employs 1,600 people worldwide and more than 140 people at its EMEA headquarters. In the past year, the company has increased its headcount by more than 35pc.
SolarWinds has seen considerable growth in the last number of years and has recently been included in Fortune’s 100 Fastest-Growing Companies list for the third year in a row.
David Owens, SolarWinds’ senior vice-president finance and operations international, said the future job creation is a testament to the talent pool in the Cork area and Ireland.
“Building on this success, we plan to accelerate our expansion by continuing to benefit from the pool of highly skilled technical talent available, and working closely with local third-level internship programmes,” Owens said.
“We recognise our Cork office as a centre of excellence for the services and levels of support delivered to our customers throughout the region.”
