Design and imaging software player Adobe has reported a 28pc year over year increase in Q2 revenues to US410.1m over last year’s US$320.1m.

For the forthcoming third quarter the company said it is targeting revenue of US$360m to US$380m and a gross margin range of 93pc to 94pc.

“Continued strong demand for the Adobe Creative Suites and the Adobe Acrobat product family, combined with solid execution across our business, highlighted another exceptional quarter,” said Bruce Chizen, president and chief executive officer.

“Our strategy of delivering comprehensive platforms to our customers is driving greater revenue than anticipated. As a result, we expect to exceed our previous full year financial targets.”

Net income for the quarter was US$109.4m compared with US$64.m, reported during the same quarter last year.
