Belfast e-learning firm wins industry deal

15 Feb 2010

Belfast-based e-learning company Aurion has won a deal to provide the UK’s Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) with a portfolio of e-learning courses.

Launching in April 2010, Aurion’s course will initially be working on a new Level 1 Food Safety Awareness e-learning qualification. The new course will be made available through the network of CIEH-registered training centres and is equivalent to three industry specific qualifications: Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness in Catering; Level 1 Award in Induction into Food Safety for Manufacturing and Level 1 Award in Food Safety Awareness for Retail.

‘We are already working with the CIEH to supply them with Net Dimension’s Enterprise Knowledge Learning Management Platform (EKP). We believe NET Dimensions has one of the best learning management systems in the marketplace and we are using it to help the CIEH deliver their accredited e-learning programmes across their network of training centres,” said Ross Maguire, sales and marketing manager at Aurion Learning.

“We are delighted that CIEH is now giving us a chance to design e-learning programmes for them. We believe that our Level 1 Food Safety Awareness course stands out from competition because it uses high levels of interactivity and games with very high quality images and films,” he added.
