Cloud-telephony provider Blueface is to expand into the Italian market as the company has acquired the business cloud-telephony provider Kebu.
Blueface, which launched its mobile service earlier this year, said its new service in Italy will offer cloud telephony services to SMEs, large businesses and Italian high-tech start-ups.
Blueface Italy will be based in Rome, with the company also planning to open additional offices in Florence and Milan in the first quarter of next year.
Blueface is also forecasting that more jobs will be created at its Dublin office in 2013, where some support and finance functions for the new Italian expansion will be based.
The move into the Italian market comes after months of planning, with Blueface now aiming to grow significant market share in Italy’s business communications market.
Blueface CEO Alan Foy said services would be rolled out in Italy over the next 12 months, with the company also in the process of examining a number of other European markets for strategic expansion.
