Dublin-based networking firm TechNiche has reported that it is on target to turn over €2.5m after only a year in business. The company, which was founded by ex-Moss employees, says it has secured over 60 clients and staff numbers have risen to 19 people.

The company was established in August last year by former Moss Technology sales director Gareth Madden and former Moss technical director Vincent Wynne.

In little over a year the company has expanded its customer base to include Irish Cement, Green Property, FBD Insurance, Cosgrave, Greencore, Cork City Council, Beamish & Crawford, Radisson SAS Dublin and Central Remedial Clinic.

TechNiche’s core services include network design, consultancy, implementation, maintenance and support of networks including security and back up strategies. TechNiche partners with Microsoft, Computer Associates, Citrix, SurfControl and SonicWall to independently provide customised solutions to the business community.

Gareth Madden said that staff numbers in the company have doubled in the past six months and the aim is to continue to grow. “We aim to increase by a minimum of 50pc year on year, through offering additional services such as remote administration support. Our stronghold in the market place will also be endorsed when we become a Microsoft Gold Partner, an accreditation previously reserved for larger integrators.”
