CarTrawler has scooped two awards at the third annual Travolution Awards, which took place in London this week.

At the Travolution Awards, CarTrawler won the ‘Best Technology Provider’ award, plus the ‘Best Car Hire Website’ award for its website.

CarTrawler, which was established in 2004 by Greg and Niall Turley, provides next-generation car-rental distribution systems. The company specialises solely in car-rental solutions and offers car rentals from more than 500 leading and independent car-rental suppliers in 135 countries.

The judges at the Travolution Awards commented on how CarTrawler had built a “scalable and well-executed service, which has emerged as a leader in its field”, adding that “the innovative functionality for partners’ customers stood out in a business which has managed to create an end-to-end system across a wide range of distribution channels.”

According to Greg Turley, CEO, CarTrawler and Argus Car Hire: “CarTrawler and our consumer brand Argus Car Hire are delighted with the Travolution Awards. Industry recognition from market experts like Travolution validates what we do and will help establish our market presence globally.”

Founded in 1959 in Dublin, Argus Rentals/Argus Car Hire has diversified over the years to become one of the world’s leading online car-hire suppliers. In 1996, it began offering its services online.
