eTrip is to more than double its workforce from 15 to 36 people at its offices in west Dublin, following its acquisition of Eazy Pass.

The new company will be rebranded and be known as Easytrip. Easytrip, with 80,000 clients and over 172,000 electronic tags issued, is now the largest supplier of electronic tolling and parking services in Ireland.

“This rebranding exercise completes the successful integration of the Eazy Pass and eTrip Services companies,” said Ciara O’Brien, general manager, Easytrip.

“We have worked hard over the past couple of months to blend the services of the two companies together and make life easier for our customers. The only change for existing Eazy Pass and eTrip customers will be in their statement and billing processes. Customers do not need to make any amendments to their accounts or renew tags.

“Since March 09, existing Eazy Pass customers can add our parking service to their accounts without having to change tags. Over the next few months, we will be developing on-street parking, as well as introducing other related services.

“With a single brand for all our markets and our developing range of services we expect any confusion, which may have arisen during our integration phase, to be quickly dispelled,” O’Brien added.

The Easytrip service allows consumers to pay tariffs through its electronic tag system on all toll roads in Ireland, including the East-Link, Dublin Port Tunnel, M1, M4, M8, plus the free-flow barrier free system on the M50, and can also be used in major car parks in Dublin, Belfast, Cork and Limerick.
