Former Intel Ireland general manager Jim O’Hara, ex-senior VP at EMC Dick Lehane and former Bord Gais CEO John Mullins have joined the board of Cork-headquartered OEM services company WiseTek Solutions.

Founded in 2007 by former EMC employee Sean Sheehan, WiseTek Solutions has quickly grown an international reputation for providing a ‘one-company solution’ in reverse logistics, IT asset value recovery and full manufacturing services to the electronics/IT industry.

WiseTek – named Emerging Company of the Year in 2010 and High Growth Company of the Year in 2011 – now has more than 160 employees based in its European headquarters in Cork serving its global customer base and in 2011 it also opened an Asia-Pacific facility in Thailand where another 30 are employed.

Last November, it continued its rapid expansion programme by setting up a US presence.

WiseTek Solutions’ clients include some of the electronic industry’s leading OEMs, including VCE, a cloud infrastructure joint venture between Cisco and EMC.

New chairman Jim O’Hara said: “WiseTek has been innovative and has grown rapidly since its inception – and the recent deal concluded with global giant VCE will add to that expansion.

“It’s good news for jobs and we’re looking forward to helping continue the growth.”
