IBM buys mobile messaging tools provider Xtify Inc

3 Oct 2013

Tech titan IBM is aiming to help digital marketers reach mobile customers through its acquisition of Xtify Inc, a provider of cloud-based mobile messaging tools. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Xtify Inc’s tools are designed to help organisations enhance mobile sales, drive in-store traffic and engage customers with personalised offers.

Under the deal, Xtify Inc will expand IBM’s Smarter Commerce initiative by providing campaign creation, personalised content, dynamic real-time segmentation and analytics for mobile devices and browsers.

The technology is designed to help companies engage, convert and retain mobile app users and site visitors.

Xtify’s cloud-based campaign management platform notifies mobile consumers when new content and promotions are available, thus helping businesses deepen connections with their customers.
