Ireland is the 10th largest investor in the States, with cumulative investment of €33bn so far it emerged yesterday as some 26 Irish telecoms and wireless tech firms showcased their latest technologies at the CTIA Wireless Conference in Las Vegas.
At the Ireland Pavilion (Central Hall, Booth #1727), Altobridge, Accuris, Benetel, FeedHenry, Fifth Province Ventures, Mingoa, NewBay Software, Openet, Tango Telecom, and Yougetitback.com showcased technology firsts for the market.
“The connection between Ireland and the US continues to grow, as more and more Irish companies launch technologies for the US market,” said David Smith, senior vice-president (telecoms) at Enterprise Ireland.
“Ireland is the 10th largest investor in the USA, with the US government showing cumulative Irish investment at over $33 billion.
“The technology here at CTIA is truly ground-breaking and represents the cutting edge of innovation for the wireless and telecoms market.”

Benetel, the wireless design and test company, announced today that it has launched the BTS-114, the first Femtocell mass production test system which can test four femtocell units in parallel enabling OEM’s and femtocell manufacturers to double test through-put compared to existing production systems.
With Benetel’s unique test strategy, OEM unit test costs can be driven down without compromising on network operator test requirements.
FeedHenry, the cloud-based solution for building and deploying cross-platform apps, launched the first end-to-end, cloud-based solution for extending business and telecoms applications across iPhone, Android, web and social media sites. FeedHenry solves an acute market problem where enterprises are looking for ways to reach out to customers and businesses with compelling mobile applications.

At CTIA Altobridge, the leading provider of wireless solutions for remote enterprises and communities, will be highlighting the company’s industry leading core technologies and their use in remote community, secure government network and emergency service applications around the world. A Compact All-IP GSM Network Solution will be on display at CTIA, the first US show since their recent strategic acquisition.
