Irish technology company ePubDirect has secured a deal with a division of the world’s largest general interest trade book publisher to manage distribution of its e-book assets.

The Cork-headquartered company has been appointed by Random House Group, a division of Bertelsmann-owned Random House and one of the largest book publishers in Europe, to provide digital distribution, e-book sales analytics, market data and retailer support for Random House UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India.

“We are delighted to be selected as the digital asset distribution service provider for The Random House Group. Our flexible, easy to use and innovative e-book distribution service, as well as our global reach, allows our customers to take full control of availability, territoriality and pricing for individual sales channels and markets,” said Gareth Cuddy, CEO of ePubDirect.

Founded in 2009, ePubDirect has grown to connect a network of 1,000 retailers and 25,500 libraries today and was recently awarded a Supply Chain Excellence Accreditation from Book Industry Communication BIC. The company operates out of its headquarters at the National Software Campus in Cork and a subsidiary office in the UK.
