The head of Accenture in Ireland Mark Ryan is to step down after almost nine years at the helm of the company in the country. Alastair Blair will replace him in September.
Ryan has been with Accenture for just over three decades and spearheaded its expansion in Ireland to reach 1,400 people.
“This decision has not come easily but after nearly 32 years with Accenture (in Ireland and abroad) and nearly nine years as managing director in Ireland, I feel that now is an appropriate time for me to hand over to a new leader who will take the business forward,” Ryan said.
“Working with Accenture has been a wonderful and enjoyable experience for me and it has been both a privilege and an honour to lead our business in Ireland.”
Blair currently serves as managing director of Accenture’s Financial Service’s operating group for the UK and Ireland and works with Accenture’s clients in the UK and Ireland, as well as the Middle East and Europe.
Previously, Blair served as head of Financial Services for Accenture in Ireland.
