Irish mobile applications developer MobileAware has been selected by leading Swedish mobile portal Telenor Mobile Sverige’s Djuice brand to deploy the latest ‘device aware’ edition of its European portal.

The technology will enable djuice’s mobile users to benefit from enhanced usability and a vast amount of new and exciting mobile content tailored to suit each user’s mobile device.

MobileAware’s Everix technology will be the main engine behind the site, accelerating the availability of rich mobile data applications and greater revenue potential from mobile services for Djuice. The technology is ‘device aware’ and seamlessly extends existing software and infrastructure to provide device-specific multi-channel delivery of content and applications.

The winning of the Telenor contract follows a similar deployment of MobileAwarer’s Everix technology for Mobiltel in Slovenia and Oniway in Portugal.

Per Wilderström, CEO of Telenor Mobile Sverige, says: “The technology ensures that the Djuice mobile portal is displayed optimally on all mobile devices, which greatly enhances the experiences of Telenor Mobile’s customers by making the Djuice portal very user-friendly.

“This allows us to bring mobile services to market quickly and cost effectively,” he adds.

“This is an extremely important version of the portal for Djuice and our involvement underlines MobileAware’s position as a leading provider of mobility software products,” says MobileAware’s CEO Kevin McCloskey.
