A new e-commerce website designed to support Irish producers, manufacturers and craftspeople called Marketdirect.ie has been launched in Limerick.

Marketdirect.ie is the brainchild of entrepreneur Keith McGuigan. The website gives small and medium sized businesses in Ireland a gateway to sell their produce online and gives consumers 24/7 access to Irish made products and produce.

Marketdirect.ie will also help businesses promote their brand online by incorporating social media links and at the same time give businesses advice on the best ways to use these channels so that word of their brand can spread.

“After extensive research I found that most small and medium sized Irish businesses have a poor online presence due to a lack of time, funds and expertise in this area,” McGuigan said.

“Marketdirect.ie solves these problems by providing businesses with a cost effective, efficient and user friendly route to the online marketplace, it is also provides a unique online market type experience for customers,” he added.
