New ICT service player to create 15 new jobs

27 Oct 2009

A new ICT service business forged through the merger of IT Focus and TeamDBA is to create 15 new technology jobs.

The company is set to become one of Ireland’s leading independent ICT providers and will commence business under the IT Focus name. The former managing director of Datapac, Edel Creely, will head up the new company.

Neil Stone-Wigg, former managing director of IT Focus, was looking for a strong management team to drive the business forward. Stone-Wigg becomes chief technology officer, while Jed Glover, former managing director of TeamDBA, becomes operations director of the new company.

Customer and ICT advisory services

This team of seasoned executives will continue the growth and expansion of IT Focus, allowing the company to grow to new heights, while continuing to deliver superior customer and trusted ICT advisory services.

“We have complementary strengths,” explained Creely. “This is an exciting time for IT Focus because it creates a position of significant competitive strength for us.

“It represents a natural extension of our world-class expertise in the delivery of mission-critical solutions, and the partnership with TeamDBA gives us a highly credible customer response in a rapidly-growing marketplace that values IT Focus’ commitment to delivering state-of-the-art IT solutions and services to the Irish market.

“Neil and Jed bring an enormous wealth of knowledge to our company and all have proven track records for building strong organisations which will help fuel IT Focus’ growth and expansion. We are highly motivated and expect great things for IT Focus in the years ahead,” Creely concluded.
