Payslip.com aims to simplify payroll management across multiple countries.

Fidelma McGuirk, former founder of Sprintax.com and CEO of Taxback.com, has launched a new fintech venture called Payslip, in an effort to make payroll management easier for multinational companies.

The company will target the 67pc of the top 1,000 companies in Ireland that have global payroll as a result of operating in two or more countries.

Balancing the plates with payroll management

There are many challenges that face HR and finance directors, from vetting a reliable payroll vendor, to managing delivery and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.

Payslip.com is a cloud-based payroll software platform that enables companies to monitor and control the entire global payroll operations from the entire dashboard. As well as mitigating the data protection and compliance risks that arise in different jurisdictions, it hopes to also reduce administration costs for multinationals.

A key feature of Payslip is GDPR Manager, which enables the employer to catalogue their employees’ personal data to facilitate compliance with the upcoming regulations from the European Union.

A simple solution to complex problems

McGuirk said: “Our new solution is massively complex under the hood but relatively simple at the front-end, making it easy to work with.

“We expect it to appeal to those companies that want to have centralised control of their global payroll. We are initially targeting companies with less than 1,000 employees in each of the overseas markets.

“Tools such as reporting, in-system authorisation, vendor and workflow manager, calendar, and alert modules all facilitate a seamless payroll process.”

Speaking with Siliconrepublic.com, McGuirk discussed the benefits of the ballooning fintech space for both employers and staff: “Fintech enables people and business [to] take better control and have transparency over their financial information. For example, with Payslip, employees will be able to view and manage their salary, electronic payslips and employee records, regardless of their location using a smartphone or tablet.”
