Pleased 2.0 meet you

1 Sep 2008

An innovative new Web 2.0 player has created a new website that will allow businesspeople to book hotel meeting and conference rooms, organise refreshments and plan the ideal venue via a Google Map search.

On www.meetingsbooker.com businesses or organisations like sports clubs or charities can now either receive instant online quotes or book meeting rooms online for hotels and venues throughout Ireland.

Meetingsbooker.com allows users to view meeting room images, floor plans, capacities and room hire special offers.

They can also select refreshments such as coffee/tea breaks, lunches and dinners, as well as any additional IT equipment required.

Room hire prices and special offers can be displayed in either Euro or Sterling, and visitors can browse an easy-to-use Google Map search to find their ideal Irish conference venue.

Meetingsbooker.com was set up by Proactiv Marketing in February last. Founder Ciaran Delaney has over 10 years’ tourism marketing experience having previously worked with Tourism Ireland as manager for Italy and internet manager. Prior to setting up Proactiv he was marketing manager at CityWest hotel.

The aim of Meetingsbooker.com is to take the stress and time out of finding a conference venue in Ireland for a product launch or a smaller meeting room for presentations, interviews or board meetings.

When booking a meeting room online or to receive instant conference quotes, the user deals directly with the hotel or meeting venue in question.

Meetingsbooker.com includes some of Ireland’s top, large conference venues such as Croke Park Conference Centre, Fitzpatrick’s Castle, the Slieve Russell Hotel, as well as many Dublin meetings venues including the Fitzwilliam Hotel, the Beacon Hotel, the Harbour Hotel Galway, Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links, to name but a few.
