Samsung Electronics America has agreed to acquire Quietside, a distribution channel for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products, for an undisclosed sum.

Quietside has been the main distributor of Samsung’s HVAC products in the US and Canada since 1997.

Under the deal, Quietside will receive greater access to Samsung’s range of HVAC products and will remain headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas.

Quietside will also increase its staff and infrastructure investment in North America.

Samsung, meanwhile, expects to further strengthen its sales operations on the continent, particularly in the business-to-business (B2B) space.

The company also plans to reveal an enhanced HVAC product line-up to better reflect the needs of North American customers.
