Irish company Softworks Workforce Solutions will provide Fife Council in Scotland with Softworks’ Time & Attendance/Flexitime and Access Control system after winning a stg£335,000 contract.

Softworks beat off competition from within the UK and wider European region to win the contract after a lengthy tendering process.

Initial deployment of the system will take place in the council’s six key administrative buildings, and be used to standardise and enhance time recording and access control for the council’s 16,000 employees.

The contract comes with the option to expand this to include all staff members and 200 council buildings.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract as it demonstrates Fife Council’s confidence in our ability to provide an enterprise-level, technically advanced, ‘end to end’ solution and service,” said Andrew Ferguson, CEO of Softworks.

“This will not only meet their objectives of today, but will provide a platform that supports a mobile, flexible and secure working environment for the future.”
