Twitter reveals Quick Promote tool for businesses

4 Feb 2015

In the latest salvo of innovative features to emerge from Twitter, the social network has revealed a new Quick Promote tool that helps businesses amplify tweets that are doing well.

Yesterday, Twitter began rolling out a new revenue stream that will see its core ‘Promoted Tweet’ appear on other sites and services, starting with Flipboard and Yahoo! Japan.

The feature is the latest in a catalogue of new tools for businesses that follow on the heels of objective-based campaigns, reports and pricing.

Last July, the microblogging site revealed organic tweet analytics to help advertisers of all sizes improve their content strategy.

The new Quick Promote tool allows businesses to amplify their best performing tweets direction from the tweet activity dashboard.

“Promoting a tweet takes just a few clicks and your tweet will automatically be targeted to users who have interests similar to your followers — the audience that is most likely to be interested in your message,” explained Buster Benson, product manager for revenue at Twitter.

“Whether you’re tweeting about a new product, promotion or blog post, Promoted Tweets can help you drive measurable business results. In fact, we found that users who see a relevant Promoted Tweet from an SMB are also 32pc more likely to visit that business,” Benson said.
