UTV has named Keith Lacy as CEO of its digital agency Simply Zesty and head of digital media development for UTV Media in Ireland.
The position will have particular focus on client strategy and quality of delivery across digital platforms. Lacy’s new responsibilities will include working with Nigel Robbins, director of UTV Media, to develop UTV’s digital presence in Ireland.
Lacy takes over from Ken Fitzpatrick, who was recently announced as the new CEO of the Digital Marketing Institute.
Lacy comes to UTV from Cybercom, where he was board account director. He also previously helped establish Lastminute.com in Ireland.
“Keith brings to this role not only a wealth of truly relevant knowledge and experience backed up by more than 12 years at the digital media ‘coal face’, but he further complements that with sound business acumen and a very clear sense of where this fledgling industry is headed and indeed where a client’s focus and energies should be placed,” Robbins said.
