Silicon Republic is moving home and will set up its new offices in Dublin’s Digital Hub this week.

“The team here is very excited about the move,” said Ann O’Dea, CEO at Silicon Republic. “Our work often brings us to the Hub, whether it is to interview some of the exciting enterprises there, or to profile the innovations taking shape there, so we knew the environment would be the ideal fit for us.

“There’s a great energy about the place, and we were very taken with the Digital Hub Development Authority’s vision for Dublin and the wider Irish technology and innovation ecosystem. Their aims are very much aligned with our own when it comes to all things digital and innovation.”

“It also offers the ideal space and flexibility for Silicon Republic to expand and grow,” O’Dea added. “And of course it brings us closer to the local digital and tech community here in the heart of Dublin.”

Growing Ireland’s digital sector

The Digital Hub Development Agency (DHDA) has welcomed the news that Silicon Republic, Ireland’s leading technology news service, is to move its operations to The Digital Hub.

Edel Flynn, chief executive officer of the DHDA, said: “We’re delighted Silicon Republic is moving to The Digital Hub. It is an excellent resource for technology news, and has proven itself a leader in mapping trends in Ireland’s tech sector and running high-quality tech-focused events. This is very much keeping with the ethos of the Digital Hub Development Agency.

“The Digital Hub is currently home to 70 scaling digital enterprises, so to have Ireland’s best-known technology news service here is a perfect fit. Digital Hub companies are fuelled by creativity, innovation and enterprise. Silicon Republic combines all of these traits.

“Furthermore, Silicon Republic is a growing digital company. As such, it fits the exact profile of companies that typically benefit from being part of the Digital Hub environment.

“The Digital Hub is moving into a new phase of development this year, and we look forward to working with Silicon Republic – and all other companies in our enterprise cluster – to promote Ireland’s digital sector.”
