Internet company Yahoo! is said to be looking for a chief operating officer, someone who will be second in command to new CEO Marissa Mayer.

AllThingsD reports sources as having said the new COO will be someone who has turnaround experience and a focus on finance and restructuring, and that executive talent company Spencer Stuart is working on executive searches for Yahoo!

AllThingsD also says it’s not clear if Mayer agrees with this plan for a new COO, because, according to sources, she has other ideas for the management organisation at Yahoo!

Mayer has already implemented practices at Yahoo! from her former employer, Google, such as free food for employees to more stringent hiring. She took over the helm of Yahoo! in July.
