28 Sep 2013

If you think Python is a snake and ruby is a gemstone, you’re right but not quite when it comes to identifying programming languages. A new infographic provides an encyclopaedic look at various programming languages and their functions.

The infographic published by Veracode on Visual.ly begins with an introduction to programming languages and then takes the reader through the most popular programming languages, the security of programming languages, what companies are fixing when vulnerabilities are found, and tips for secure programming.

The meatiest part of the infographic is the comparison of programming languages, which charts the creator of a particular language, its primary uses, and who uses the language.
