Before next week’s event the Dublin Web Summit has launched a new campaign with the aim of encouraging more women in technology. A Leaders’ Lunch will be happening at the summit to focus on inspiring more women to dive into the tech space.

The lunch event will take place on 18 October at the Dublin Web Summit, with the aim of bringing together female business leaders, entrepreneurs and influencers from Ireland and abroad.

Speakers will include Marcy Simon, the co-founder of Agent of Change; Anne Heraty, CEO of CPL; Sonia Flynn, director of user operations at Facebook; and PayPal’s vice-president of global operations Louise Phelan.

Paddy Cosgrave, CEO and founder of the Dublin Web Summit, said the event has been introduced this year to encourage and inspire women in technology, ranging from start-up entrepreneurs to company executives.
