A new concept electric vehicle (EV) and the platform for a mid-size plug-in hybrid vehicle has been released by car maker Honda.
The Fit EV Concept will be integral to the Honda Mobility Network, according to the company, and could be an indicator of the style and design of the Fit EV, which is expected for US and Japanese release in 2012.
Aside from the Fit EV, the plug-in platform showcases Honda’s hybrid intentions, with a two-motor hybrid vehicle penned for release in 2012, as well.
The company said that in order for an EV to satisfy the customer it must offer more than fun and functionality, and the new EV will be a good addition to the firm’s line.
