IT services firm creates 10 jobs

A new Cork-based IT services company is to create 10 new jobs over the coming 18 months by offering software that allows organisations to control and improve quality across the breadth of their business.

Backed by an initial investment of €250,000, Enterprise Quality Specialists (EQS) Ltd will focus on sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceutical, food and beverage and healthcare. A member of the Seabrook Group of companies, it is the sole distributor for Pilgrim Software in Ireland and the UK.

Chris Mortell, business development manager of EQS, commented: “The pressures for demonstrating compliance and reducing the cost of quality are ever increasing challenges for organisations. Our clients now have the ability to reduce the risk associated with non compliance and ensure commitment to quality at all levels.”

A recent AMR Research report on regulatory compliance concluded that organisations spend up to 40pc of their IT budgets on compliance because of fragmented systems. EQS claims it can reduce these costs by offering independent quality modules that can also be integrated with each other and with existing software systems to build compliance across the business.
