Interxion is to host managed service provider Perseus Telecom’s new network infrastructure at Interxion’s Dublin facility, connecting to Perseus’ new Network Operations Centre in Galway.

Perseus Telecom’s agreement with the cloud and carrier-neutral colocation data centre services provider enables the company to offer services to its customers in Ireland, including connectivity to Perseus’ global network, with routes to Brazil, Chicago, New York, London and Frankfurt.

Perseus chose Interxion for a number of reasons, including Interxion’s focus on customer experience, reliability and flexibility to cater to its business needs.

The agreement follows Perseus’ recent announcement of the creation of 25 new jobs in Galway as part of an IDA Ireland-backed expansion.

“Companies like Perseus Telecom are attracted to Ireland because of the availability of top-class talent, and well-established digital infrastructure,” said Tanya Duncan, MD of Interxion Ireland.

“This results in job creation and investment in our thriving digital community. We are delighted to be working with Perseus Telecom and supporting its expansion in Ireland.”

Tom Proudley, senior vice-president of operation and service assurance at Perseus Telecom said the company’s expansion in Ireland required a data centre service provider that could facilitate a fast and secure deployment, provide flexibility in terms of implementation, and offer competitive value.

“Interxion is an excellent fit for our requirements and we look forward to a long working relationship,” Proudley said.
