IT managers are the real gatekeepers of our digital work lives and have been since the early days of email way back yonder in the olden days of the 90s when working became networking. They know where the cables are buried.
Not only that, they hold the keys of destiny as to whether you are going to be continue to be lumbered with a slow, non-performing machine; whether you will get more memory; will find a fix for that password you created and can’t remember; and they know why it’s really you and not the computer that is to blame. In fairness, most of them have the patience of saints.
Today’s Gigglebit is a collection of things you will “never” hear an IT person say when dealing with us plebs.
However, I dispute one or two things.
I have actually heard IT people in the past suggest “why don’t we turn it off and back on again”, “maybe we should unplug it” as well as “I love Windows.” Yes, I did hear that.
