A concrete example of IT driving competitive strength?

BT has deployed a state-of-the-art MPLS (multiprotocol label switching) infrastructure across 16 of Kilsaran Concrete’s sites in Ireland in a deal valued at €500,000.

The MPLS solution provides the necessary inter-networking between different technologies and legacy IT infrastructures to discover, configure and manage connectivity for the company’s multi-site operation.

In advance of deploying the solution, BT carried out a network audit to ensure the right network solution was developed to meet Kilsaran Concrete’s growing infrastructure needs.

The chosen MPLS managed service will enable Kilsaran Concrete to benefit from greater cost efficiency and control through a standardised, flexible communications infrastructure platform with enhanced service levels to users.

Kilsaran Concrete will have the ability to leverage the solution to drive competitive strength, optimise business processes and operations and continue with innovation.

“BT will provide us with the tools to drive cost efficiency and business agility, and will effectively manage the stable and secure network that is vital to our business,” said Tom McCarthy, financial director Kilsaran Group.
